Form Vegan Performance Protein: the perfect all-rounder?
A Complete vegan protein blend
Form Performance Protein delivers 30 grams of protein per serving, combining organic pea, brown rice and pumpkin seed proteins.
This multisource blend provides a complete amino acid profile, including all nine essential amino acids, supporting muscle growth, repair and sustained energy throughout the day.
With five grams of BCAAs per serving, it is formulated to optimise muscle protein synthesis, making it a reliable option for post-workout recovery or as a daily protein boost.
Enhanced recovery support
The Performance Protein also includes Curcumin, the active compound found in turmeric, known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is paired with BioPerine®, a black pepper extract that improves nutrient absorption, enhancing the recovery benefits of the shake.
Additionally, a carefully chosen combination of digestive enzymes, including Amylase, Protease, Lactase, Lipase and Cellulase, helps reduce bloating and promotes comfortable digestion. This makes it suitable for those who often experience discomfort from other protein powders.
Natural sweeteners and taste
Form uses a blend of stevia leaf extract and thaumatin, a protein from the African Katemfe fruit, to naturally sweeten the protein powder. This combination creates a balanced, pleasant flavour without the need for artificial sweeteners or added sugar.
Ethical and safe formulation
The protein powder is packaged in fully compostable, plastic-free pouches and contains no plastic scoops. Ingredients are organic where possible, minimally processed, GMO free, and undergo rigorous heavy metal testing.
Form Protein is also Informed Sport certified, providing assurance to athletes that it is free from banned substances and contaminants.
Does Form Vegan Performance Protein in Tiramisu flavour taste good?
The short answer is, yes it does! I had previously tried and reviewed the Vanilla flavour, and when I noticed that it came in my favourite dessert flavour, which is quite unusual, I wanted to give it a go.
To be honest, I didn’t have very high expectations - I didn’t quite see how a vegan protein powder could capture that delicious tiramisu taste and was almost ready to be disappointed.
Turns out, I was pleasantly surprised. Form has really nailed it. The protein powder delivers a genuinely authentic tiramisu taste, with hints of coffee that are smooth and not bitter. The sweetness is perfectly balanced, giving it a rich, dessert-like flavour without feeling overpowering.
I’ve been using it mainly as a post-workout protein shake with almond milk, and it goes down a treat. I’ve also used this flavour in my morning oatmeal.
Protein oats are my go-to breakfast, and this flavour gives overnight oats an incredibly indulgent flavour. I love starting the day with a hint of tiramisu, it feels like a little treat while still being nutritious and packed with protein!
