Ole Henriksen HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil unsponsored review
This deeply hydrating face oil is the first product I’ve tried from Ole Henriksen so far. Here’s everything you need to know about this best-seller and my honest HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil review.
Ole Henriksen HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil
Meet the lightweight oil that works hard. Aiming to deeply hydrate while strengthening your skin’s natural barrier, the HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil has been clinically shown to boost hydration, plump fine lines and improve texture.
The key ingredients inside Ole Henriksen HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil
The power of this oil comes from a blend of barrier-supporting and nourishing ingredients, including:
Peptides to help improve elasticity and reinforce the skin’s barrier.
Ceramides to lock in moisture and keep skin feeling supple, also contributes to making the skin barrier more resilient overtime.
Scandinavian berry oils (cloudberry, lingonberry and elderberry) for a rich source of vitamins, omega fatty acids and antioxidants.
Who is it for?
This face oil has been formulated to suit all skin types, from dry to oily and even sensitive.
Because it is non-comedogenic, it will not clog pores, and the lightweight texture makes it easy to layer under or over other products.
It is also a good match for those who use stronger actives like retinoids or AHAs, since it helps to replenish and soothe the skin barrier.
If you are looking for a face oil that combines hydration with long-term skin support, this one ticks all the right boxes.
Where to buy Ole Henriksen HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil in the UK?
Can order via the brand’s website but you’ll only unlock free shipping if you spend £85. You won’t get that issue if you buy it via online retailers like Cult Beauty or Space NK. RRP: £46
Honest review of Ole Henriksen HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil
Face oils have been part of my evening routine for a while now, mostly because I love ending the day with a little facial massage. It is such a nice way to wind down, and at the same time it helps with skin elasticity, lymphatic drainage and tension relief.
I picked up the HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil mainly because of its formula. I already use peptides in the morning, so this felt like a great way to build on that, and I had been wanted to add ceramides into my routine for their barrier-strengthening and moisturising benefits.
The texture is what really surprised me. It feels silky and smooth without being greasy, almost like a “dry” oil. It’s light on the skin but still nourishing. For me, this oil works even better than hyaluronic acid at keeping dehydration at bay.
I also really appreciate the packaging; I’ve travelled with it several times and it’s never leaked, which isn’t always the case with face oils.
It may be a little pricey - it’s the most I’ve spent so far on a face oil! - but I don’t regret it and a bottle will last you for months!
This is the first ever product I’ve tried from Ole Henriksen and after a positive experience I’m keen to further explore their skincare range!
