What is Farfetch Conscious Collection?

Farfetch Conscious Collection is part of the “Positively Farfetch” mission, aka the platform’s sustainable business strategy to make luxury shopping more conscious, circular and inclusive. This translates into several initiatives, from developing a handbag resale service to lowering their carbon footprint and featuring sustainable brands.
The Conscious Collection
Farfetch Conscious Collection aims to promote luxury designers, both established and emerging, that engage in sustainable initiatives, whether it’s in terms of materials, production or sourcing.
To decide if a product can be part of the conscious collection, a product must meet at least one “conscious criteria”. One of these criteria is their Good on You rating. Good on You is an ethical ratings agency that Farfetch has partnered with.
Is every product feature in the Conscious Collection truly 100% sustainable though? Not necessarily, because a product only needs to meet one criteria to be included. Therefore some products might be very sustainable in some aspects only.
That being said, this is definitely a great initiative and a step forward to encourage change and promote responsible practices within the luxury industry.
