Vivo Life Perform Plant Protein

Perform Plant Protein is one of Vivo Life’s best-sellers. Designed to help with muscle recovery and overall wellness, it is sourced from a blend of fermented yellow Pea protein and cold-pressed Hemp protein. This combination offers a complete amino acid profile, making it a suitable alternative to traditional whey protein.

The formula includes Turmeric extract and Reishi mushroom extract, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and adaptogenic properties. Additionally, a herbal enzyme blend made of papain, ginger extract, peppermint leaf and black pepper extract helps improve digestion and reduce bloating.

This protein is free from artificial flavours and is naturally sweetened with Stevia. It is naturally high in iron, zinc and selenium, helping you reach your daily intake for these essential micro nutrients.

How much protein does Vivo Life Perform Plant Protein contain per serving?

Each serving provides you with 25 grams of protein including 6 grams of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs).

A 36g serving contains 3g fat, 2g carbs and around 130kcal per serving.

How much does it cost?

A 936g pouch (26 servings) costs £44.99 but you can get 15% off any Vivo Life product via this link!

My honest, unsponsored Vivo Life Perform Madagascan Vanilla Plant Protein review

I have been a Vivo Life customer for many years, I bought a bunch of Vitamin B12 and Omega-3 bottles, as well as their Lemon & Cashew protein bars which I really enjoy. I had been wanting to try their protein for a while, and decided to order the Madagascan vanilla flavour a few months ago, whilst it was on offer.

I mostly use protein powder in my morning oatmeal, and when I went to make my first bowl of proats with the Perform vanilla protein, I was surprised by how yellow the powder looked.

The vibrant colour comes from the turmeric, and I’ll admit I was a bit concerned that the turmeric flavour would be just as strong as its appearance. Thankfully, it’s not, you barely notice the turmeric taste!

What I really like is that a serving gives me 25g of protein, which is more than many other (plant-based or not) protein brands out there.

And with 42% of the daily recommended iron intake, it’s also a great help to get enough iron in my diet, something I tend to struggle with.

What does it taste like?

The protein has a very natural taste — it's clearly not over-processed or overly sweetened. You can tell it's made with real, whole food ingredients.

That said, I do wish the vanilla flavour came through a little more strongly; it's quite subtle and not very prominent on the palate.

If you have a sweet tooth, you might find it a bit plain on its own. Personally, I like to add extra berries and a drizzle of agave syrup to my oats when using it, just to bring in some natural sweetness.

Does Vivo Life Protein cause bloating?

I’m someone who unfortunately gets bloated quite easily, and even some “natural” protein brands have caused discomfort in the past. Since switching to Vivo Life protein, I haven’t experienced any bloating at all. The added herbal enzyme blend really seems to be doing its job, and it's made a noticeable difference for me.

Overall, I’ve been really enjoying the switch to Vivo Life protein and now that I’ve almost finished the Madagascan Vanilla pouch, I’m going to try the Salted Maca Caramel next!
