I recently ordered some MyVegan snacks from MyProtein. Wondering if these vegan protein snacks actually taste good? Here’s my honest review.

MyVegan snacks review

A few years ago I was a regular MyVegan customer and I used to buy their vegan vanilla protein blend. I once added the Gooey Filled Cookies to my basket, which I reviewed here.

Although it tasted good, I was left a little underwhelmed by the supposedly gooey peanut butter filling.

Very recently I found myself browsing on the MyVegan page again, looking for vegan Omega 3. I decided to give their protein snacks another go and ordered the Carb Crushers and Double Dough brownies.

MyProtein vegan Carb Crusher

The vegan Carb Crusher boasts 15g protein per serving (16g for the Peanut Butter flavour) and contains less than 250 kcalories.

This vegan protein snack comes in 4 different flavours. I chose Banoffee which combine a banana-flavoured protein base with a layer of caramel and a dark chocolate coating with chocolate chips.

I was pleasantly surprised with both the taste and the texture when I first tried it. It has a rich chocolate flavour without being too sweet.

It is quite chewy, which I personally like as the more I chew the longer it takes me to eat and the more satiated I feel.

I really enjoy the Carb Crusher as my afternoon snack when my sweet tooth kicks in. It’s a satisfying alternative to a regular chocolate bar and it helps me increase my protein intake.

RRP: £23.99 for a pack of 12 but you’ll always find a discount!

MyProtein vegan Double Dough Brownie

I put the Double Dough Brownie in my basket because of its rather appealing name. I thought that if it actually looked like the image on the packaging, I was in for a treat.

I was half expecting to be underwhelmed, just like I was in the past with the Gooey cookie. Thankfully when I unwrapped my first double dough brownie (Peanut Butter flavour), it looked very much like what I expected.

This protein snack is made of several layers: a cookie dough base, a generous brownie protein dough topped with low-sugar caramel and coated in chocolate.

It sounds incredible, and the best part is, it is as delicious as it sounds. It’s rich, thick and gooey (even better after 30 seconds in the microwave), probably the satisfying packaged protein snack I’ve tried.

Not to mention that each brownie is packed with 14g plant-based protein and nearly 8g fibre!

I’ll be ordering it again and if you’re only trying one MyVegan snack, it has to be this one.

RRP: £25.99 for a pack of 12 but you’ll never pay full price with so many discounts available.
