Murad Superactive Moisturiser SPF 50 Wrinkle Fighting: unsponsored review
I’ve been testing out Murad Superactive Moisturiser SPF 50 Wrinkle Fighting and here’s my unsponsored review of this anti-ageing SPF moisturiser.
Meet the Murad Superactive Moisturiser SPF 50 Wrinkle Fighting
Murad recently introduced their Superactive Moisturiser range, with 4 multi-tasking daytime moisturisers to choose from depending on you skincare priorities:
Wrinkle Fighting for those concerned about signs of ageing
Hydrating for dry and dehydrated skin
Mattifying Oil + Pore Control for oily, breakout prone skin
Brightening to address dullness, uneven skin and dark spots
A moisturiser, SPF and wrinkle fighter in one
Murad’s Superactive Moisturiser SPF 50 Wrinkle Fighting is designed to take the place of multiple steps in your morning routine. It hydrates, smooths and protects all at once, with a lightweight finish that blends in seamlessly without leaving a white cast.
What are the key ingredients?
At the heart of this moisturiser is a bio-retinoid derived from algae. It helps reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles while supporting a firmer appearance, and it is gentle enough to use daily.
Alongside that, a high-protection SPF 50 shields skin from UVA and UVB rays to help prevent future sun-induced ageing.
Who is it for?
This moisturiser is a fit for anyone looking to simplify their skincare routine whilst actively targeting signs of ageing and preventing sun damage.
Where to buy it?
You can easily order Murad Superactive Moisturiser SPF 50 Wrinkle Fighting via the brand’s official website as well as e-retailers such as Lookfantastic or Cult Beauty. RRP: £59
My honest review of Murad Superactive Moisturiser SPF 50 Wrinkle Fighting
I always look for a daytime moisturiser with SPF, it saves me an extra step and makes sure I am never skipping sun protection.
Now that I am in my mid-thirties, my focus has shifted towards anti-ageing, or perhaps more accurately, gracefully ageing skincare. Since I use Retinal at night, the idea of a moisturiser with a plant-based bio-retinoid that is safe for daytime use instantly caught my attention.
From the very first application, the texture stood out. It feels silky and smooth, absorbs quickly and has none of the heaviness you sometimes get with high SPF products. There is no white cast either, which makes it effortless to wear daily. In fact, it has a smoothing finish that reminds me of a makeup primer, creating a great base for the rest of my routine.
My skin gets on really well with it, and I love knowing that every morning I’m layering on both SPF and targeted anti-ageing ingredients. Combining sun protection with wrinkle-fighting actives feels like the smartest step I can take now, and I know it will pay dividends for how my skin looks in the long run!
Special mention for the pump packaging. It makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product from the slim tube, and it just feels a bit more convenient to use day to day.
