Faace skincare review | Vegan skincare for skin disrupted by life

I had the chance to receive some products from vegan skincare brand Faace. Here’s what you need to know about the brand and my honest review of the products.

About Faace

After being in the beauty industry for over 15 years and looking for a simplified skincare routine that would address specific issues (such as period pimples) without much success, Jasmine Wicks-Stephens decided to create her own brand.

With the help of a team of experts, Faace was born. Since then, the ambition has stayed the same: develop products that address specific skin concerns, are easy to fit in your busy schedule and are affordable.

Is Faace cruelty-free and vegan?

Yes, all Faace products are cruelty-free and vegan! Plus, the products are housed in recyclable packaging and this year the brand is meant to move towards 60% PCR plastic (made from recycled materials).

Faace is also a brand that gives back through several initiatives, such as donating sanitary products to Hey Girls (a social enterprise dedicated to end period poverty) for every Faace mask purchased.

Multipurpose products

The range is composed of masks and cleansers, but they are more than that and can be used in different ways.

For instance, apply a thin layer of the face masks to prime your skin before makeup, or a thicker layer which you can rinse off after 20 minutes or leave on overnight.

Which product is for you?

The good thing with Faace is that unlike many skincare brands, the range is everything but overwhelming. There is a limited choice of products and each one addresses a specific concern, which makes it super easy for you to pick the right product(s) based on what your skin needs.

Period Faace

Period Faace Mask is the iconic product from the brand, and embodies the founder’s initial mission: get rid of period breakouts and improve skin texture.

It contains plumping Hyaluronic Acid, balancing Lavender, clarifying Zinc and Clay as well as White Willow to minimize pore size.

Sweaty Faace

Sweaty Faace Mask is for you if you have oily skin, are sweating a lot from your workouts or feel like the stress is getting to your skin, making it feel hot and steamy. Use this product to soothe and refresh your skin whilst keeping your pores clear.

The formula contains a cocktail of powerful ingredients including Argan Oil which will not make your skin any oilier, but give it the right fatty acids to thrive, as well as revitalising Vitamin C from Grapefruit and Bergamot to fight blemishes.

Tired Faace

Tired Faace Mask is made for tired, dull-looking skin that could do with a glow up. It contains star ingredients such as Caffeine, Vitamin C and Lactic Acid.

Menopause Faace

Menopause Faace Mask comes to the rescue when hormonal changes reflect on your skin. It becomes thinner, less resilient and you want your glow back.

The main ingredients are soothing Rose Water as well as a bunch of skin-loving oils such as Carrot Seed, Rosehip and Immortelle Flower which work together to restore brightness, nourish your skin and give it much needed antioxidants.

Dirty Faace

Dirty Faace is a creamy gel cleanser that gets rid of makeup and impurities whilst also purifying your skin, helping it hit the rest button.

The key ingredients? Nourishing Coconut, balancing Benzoic Acid and brightening Grapefruit Seed Oil.

Dull Faace

Dull Faace can used as a cleanser to remove impurities or a mask for when your skin needs extra TLC.

The formula contains Kaolin Clay to absorb oil as well as a bunch or antioxidants such as Turmeric, nourishing oils and Hyaluronic Acid to retain moisture. More details in my review below.

Reviewing Faace products: Dull Faace and Tired Faace

First, what I love about the brand in general is that they make it super easy to select the right product for your skin and they considerably simplify your skincare routine when you don’t have time for a full-on pamper session.

They are also super affordable (most products cost £24 for 40 uses) and if you buy a bundle it works out even cheaper, saving you at least £10.

Of course I also love the fact that the whole range is vegan and cruelty-free. Now, let’s talk about the two products I received. You can see me testing them out for the first time in this video :)

Dull Faace Cleanser review

The keyword here is Creamy. This cleanser will not dry out your skin and leave it feeling uncomfortable. The first time I tried it, I was very impressed with the gentle texture and the smell.

I’ve been loving using it in the evening to remove my makeup and prepare my skin for the evening.

Having combination skin that easily gets congested and dull if I don’t look after it, this cleanser contains the perfect cocktail of purifying and brightening ingredients.

If your skin needs a really good cleanse but goes crazy with harsh cleansers, this product is for you!

RRP: £24 - Find it on Faace website or Cult Beauty

Tired Faace Mask review

My first reaction when discovering the texture was “is that a primer?” because of the gel-like formula. Turns out, this product can absolutely be used as a priming moisturiser, giving your skin an instant boost.

I have been loving using it as an overnight face mask on the days I need to cut my evening skincare short.

I simply use the Dull Faace cleanser, rinse off, apply a thick-ish layer of the Tired Faace mask and that’s it! I can see that it makes my skin look less tired and I always wake up with soft, more plumped skin.

RRP: £24 - Find it on Faace website, Liberty London or Cult Beauty

If your main skin concerns are dullness and congestion too, and would like to give Faace a go, then I’d recommend going for the Dull + Tired Faace bundle.

Overall, this brand is one of my favourite skincare discoveries of this year so far. I absolutely love the concept behind the brand, the hybrid formulas and I would definitely use more products from Faace!
